The World Summit meets every 10 years to reflect on Sustainable Growth strategies. During the event, workshops are held on various topics such as energy, agriculture, health, technical cooperation ... At the end of the summit, presentations cover the achievements and agreed strategies on the way forward in front of world leaders. The 2002 World Summit was staged in Johannesburg, South Africa between 26 August and 4 September.
Atos Origin was a key partner of the event and supported the management of participants through its EMS applications. Furthermore our team deployed and supported the event intranet providing news, schedules of the sessions, facts and figures about the event and transportation timetables. The accreditation system generated passes for more than 70,000 individuals (45,000 event staff, 21,000 participants, 4,000 media).
