Atos Origin through the SchlumbergerSema's acquisition was involved in previous Games during the 1990s, starting with the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, where we were the COOB Official supplier of Operational Systems.

In the summer of 1996, we became the ACOG supplier for the Atlanta Olympic Games, where we provided general consultancy in Operational Management Systems for ticketing and accommodation, and also the system design for accreditation, staffing, medical services and arrival & departure applications.

Two years later, Atos Origin was involved with the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan. For NAGANO 1998, we subcontracted with IBM, once again providing accreditation systems and system operation services.

In September 2000, an Atos Origin technical team found itself in Australia deploying some of the critical Games Management software applications for the SYDNEY 2000 Olympic Games.

The Games Management System included:

Accreditation,
Volunteer management,
Qualification status,
Medical services,
VIP and protocol management,
Arrival/departure monitoring.

In 2002, Atos Origin deployed its team in North America for the IT management of the Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games. Throughout the 17 days of events and ceremonies, our IT systems and technology team delivered a gold medal performance.

For Salt Lake, we used knowledge transfer from previous Games to build a stable, secure IT platform, and we developed processes and applications that serve as the building blocks of future information technology, reports, archives and shared sports data for the next Olympic Games.
