At the recent worlds leading Metering, Billing and CRM conference in Amsterdam end of September 2008, an international Atos Origin team presented and showed our smart metering solution and on top of that we showed the flexible prepaid products - an added-value in this area.
Atos Origin provides leading Energy clients with innovative solutions that span the entire value chain from production to consumer management in a design-build-operate offer, supported by our dedicated Energy & Utilities Centers of Excellence and our strong partnerships with leading players in the sector. Atos Origin has an impressive track record in managing and upgrading highly critical real-time systems and at the conference we could show the Automated Metering Management (AMM) platform we perform for ERDF.
Atos Origin has been selected by ERDF, a subsidiary of EDF and the largest electricity distribution network in the European Union, to help ensure the success of a major transformation program that will see the replacement of 35 million electricity meters in France, beginning with a pilot trial of 300,000 meters. ERDF has selected Atos Origin as architect for the information system and lead manager of the consortium of technology firms that will conduct the pilot phase.
