I see it as a zero touch process; where a telco has a strategy and through provisioning and end-to-end fulfillment, Atos Origin helps them implement that strategy without human interference.

Integrating Governance, Business Process Knowledge and IT Knowledge
Process and IT automation are not two separate things. The solution integrates governance, business process knowledge and IT knowledge. The key benefit is that the business process blueprint is one-on-one with governance and IT support. Hence, in some situations the “zero touch” process-approach will lead to totally automated process chains without human interference!
Within Atos Origin, I head up a team which has developed the proposition which is also known as Process Chain Innovation for the Telecom market. The proposition is based on hands-on practical experience and is based on the pillars: governance, process management and IT. With the team we published an article on Process Chain Innovation which appeared in several magazines in the autumn of 2006.
Developing more Knowledge and International Engagements
In this way, I act as the liaison for this kind of knowledge for the rest of the international Atos Origin community. Together we will develop more knowledge, share, team up and score more international engagements of this kind. I want to spread these ideas globally so we can leverage the vast wealth of knowledge that we have. And not only do we ourselves benefit from this, our clients and also the end customer will feel the difference that our proposition makes.
Within Atos Origin, Process Chain Innovation has matured and grown significantly, becoming an important solution area with a growing client list including KPN, Casema, Essent Kabelcom and Schiphol Airport Telecom. There is a lot of demand for the experience that we have in making organizations more agile and therefore the list of reference cases continues to grow.

Pieter Lugtigheid is co-responsible for the Strategy and Innovation Service portfolio within Atos Consulting. He is responsible for sales and delivery of (inter)national strategic innovation engagements and has had 9 years of experience in both consultancy and the telecom sector in an international context.
Pieter joined Panfox Consultancy in 1997 and joined several business process redesign engagements from the start. He joined KPMG consulting in 2001. Since 2006 he has held a management position within Strategy and Innovation at Atos Consulting.
